This is our countdown of the Top 10 Hidden Gem Female Vocals of the 80s: Kicking off the countdown at #10, We have Rock and Roll’s Air Raid Siren in an under appreciated duet: it’s “Surrender to Me” by Ann Wilson and Robin Zander: “Surrender to Me” was a duet of rock icons: This power ballad brings together two legendary voices—the incomparable Ann Wilson, the powerhouse frontwoman of Heart, and Robin Zander, the instantly recognizable lead singer of Cheap Trick. The pairing of these two magnetic, distinctly styled vocalists from different, yet complementary, rock worlds was a headline-making moment for the era. “Surrender to Me” was crafted specifically for the 1988 film Tequila Sunrise, starring Mel Gibson & Michelle Pfeiffer.
