Slow life in France, baking my grandmother plum tart, first harvest in the garden, quiet days 🥧🪴🏡

Bonjour Friends, How have you been ? August is here and it has been a very peaceful month. I bake my grandma plum tart, I also made a lot of jams to preserve the many plums we had this year. It was time for this year's first harvest in the garden, it was so exciting. Hope you will like this new video, Thank you so much for watching, see you soon 🪴🏡 My grandma plum tart : For the tart dough : 125g Unsalted butter 250g Flour A pinch of salt 25g Sugar 1 Egg 2 Tablespoons of water For the tart filling : 400g of plums ( depending of the size of your plums, the plums has to cover your tart base). 1 Tablespoon of fine semolina 2 Eggs 75g Sugar 1 Packet of vanilla sugar or 1 tsp of vanilla extract 4 Tablespoons of heavy cream or "crème fraiche" In a large mixing bow, mix together the flour, sugar and salt, add the butter in dice and incorporate with your finger, add the egg and mix gently, add the water( You can adapt depending on the consistency of your dough, sometimes one tablespoon is enough). Once the dough is ready form a ball and let it rest for about 1 hour. Roll the dough with a rolling pin and spread it in four tart pan, cut the excessing dough and add the fine semolina to the tart base. Add the plums cut in halves until the pan is filled. Mix together the eggs, the sugars and the heavy cream, until smooth and add the mix to the pan by pouring in the middle of your pan, it will help spread the mix uniformly. Bake for about 35 minutes at 220°Celsius, until the dough is golden brown. Let it cool completely before serving.
