We also go to order wood for the shutters, make two compost piles with cow manure and straw, and I turn some of the last green tomatoes into chutney. At the end of the episode, we discover a hidden door behind old layers of plaster in the small cellar next to the kitchen — a space that will become our pantry in the future.
