This is possibly the most incredible lens Sony has released to date. A modern design, this lens features 19 elements in 17 groups. There are 2 aspherical and 2 XA (extreme aspherical) elements combining to make a zoom lens that beats out some of the companies best primes. This lens is really fantastic. On the downside, it's big, heavy and expensive but for the right use case - it doesn't get much better than this.
