AD - Going to therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness. BetterHelp makes therapy simple, with 10% off your first month to help you get started: https://betterhelp.com/drbecky | The unexpected discoveries we make in Physics are always my favourite. And there’s one discovery from the ARCADE program in 2006 that still hasn’t been explained: space roar. A hum of radio light coming from every direction in the sky that was 6 times brighter than what we expected to find and we still don’t know what’s causing it nearly 20 years later. In fact, no one can even agree whether it’s coming from something inside our galaxy of stars, the Milky Way, or if it’s coming from outside our galaxy somewhere in the distant Universe… Seiffert et al. I love making videos about science with an unnatural level of enthusiasm. I like to focus on how we know things, not just what we know. And especially, the things we still don't know. If you've ever wondered about something in space and couldn't find an answer online - you can ask me! My day job is to do research into how supermassive black holes can affect the galaxies that they live in. In particular, I look at whether the energy output from the disk of material orbiting around a growing supermassive black hole can stop a galaxy from forming stars. http://drbecky.uk.com
