The BIZARRE Gameplay Balance Of Resident Evil (1996)

So I've been back on a bit of a Resident Evil kick recently, mostly because these games are easy to get into, over fairly quickly, and I know I like them. Plus, to be entirely honest I'm also wanting to preserve the original Resident Evil games on account of Capcom themselves not wanting to. But I'll talk about that more in depth in a later video. Now I only really got into Resident Evil over the past few years. I played a few games before that, but it wasn't until relatively recently that I got properly into them, so excuse me if my opinions are somewhat on the normie spectrum. But there's something I wanted to talk about in regards to the original Resident Evil. Ie the one from 1996, in fact, it's one of the things that has struck me ever since I first played it all the way through, and it's something that's easy to notice if you play it yourself. A particular design quirk. The game's bizarre and frankly unique difficulty balancing.
