A strange ship looms on the horizon of the South Atlantic as American cargo vessel SS Stephen Hopkins sails through the morning fog on September 27, 1942. American lookouts initially identify the ship as just another merchant. But, looking closer, they begin to notice a flurry of strange activity. False deck panels are being removed, and the shape of the ship is changing before their eyes. There is barely any time for warning when shells come smashing through Stephen Hopkins' superstructure. In the distance, the supposed merchant vessel raises its guns along with a new flag and deadly intent. This imposter thinks it is springing a trap, but little does it know that the American ship is not quite what it seems, either. Stephen Hopkins has a dangerous secret and a crazy plan of its own…
