Bathsheba the Witch, formerly known as Bathsheba Sherman, was the horrific specter that haunted the farmhouse that belonged to the Perron family in The Conjuring. Although Bathsheba is the main antagonist of the story, many viewers are not aware of her colorful history, or the meaning behind many of the paranormal events seen in the movie. Unlike Valak in The Conjuring 2, Bathsheba is based off of a real person, who was rumored to be involved in witchcraft in the 1800s. In this video, I'll be using the history of the real Bathsheba Sherman to fill in the blanks about the movie character Bathsheba. I'll also be analyzing her entire story, including the possible origin of her name and how she made a mockery of religious ideas as part of her Satanic agenda.
