Video Description
The shattered remains of a B-24 Green Hornet drift aimlessly on the vast Pacific, a ghostly carcass against the bright sky. Clinging to a makeshift raft are three stranded US Airmen. After 47 days adrift, food and clean water are quickly running out. Second Lieutenant Louis Zamperini, his body weary yet alert, scans the horizon, searching for salvation. Beside him, the sunken faces of his crewmates reveal the toll of starvation and thirst. Without warning, the ocean stirs. A shadow glides beneath the surface—an ominous fin slicing through the waves like a blade. Zamperini exchanges a knowing glance with his crewmate. Their makeshift weapons - mere wooden oars - seem futile against nature's perfect predator. Neither man speaks. They know the shark is merely another challenge in their struggle to survive. But even as they prepare to face this predator, they do not know that their true ordeal has not yet begun. - As images and footage of actual events are not always available, Dark Docs sometimes utilizes similar historical images and footage for dramatic effect.
