You disguise your fear of failure under the pious excuse of "waiting on the Lord," demanding He return to micromanage your life. And it is sad, because you are full of grandiose ideas about what you might do for God one day, but you freeze the moment you actually have to execute them. Do not let your life remain a sterile collection of unfulfilled plans just because you are scared to make a choice. Even if we stumble, our boldness will please Him infinitely more than our paralyzing timidity. The Third Glorious Mystery: The Descent of the Holy Spirit [11:01] It is so easy to let our faith become a private, polite part of our lives. We go to Mass and cultivate a deep spiritual life, but the moment we step into the office or a social gathering, we feel the urge to go undercover. If you feel this way, remember that the apostles did too. They hid behind locked doors because they were afraid of the culture outside. But you are called to so much more than hiding. You are not meant to pass through this world without leaving a mark. By keeping your faith under wraps, you might be holding back the very light that someone nearby is desperately searching for. So, throw open the doors of your comfortable little Upper Room. Make yourself felt. Shine forth with the torch of your faith and your love, and set aflame all the ways of the earth with the fire of Christ that you bear in your heart. The Fourth Glorious Mystery: The Assumption [15:16] Look at the woman rising to heaven. She never wrote a theological treatise; she never preached a sermon to the crowds. To the eyes of the world, she was simple. Yet she flies higher than the angels and the doctors of the law because, while others were arguing about God, she was loving Him. Stop trying to figure God out; you don't need to understand the mechanics of the elevator to push the button. Drop your complex theories and your constant self-audit. It is the hour for your heart, not your head. Just love Him. It is the simple heart, not the clever mind, that defies gravity. The Fifth Glorious Mystery: The Coronation [19:16] She is crowned with stars and seated above the angels, yet her entire earthly life was a masterpiece of the ordinary. You want to be extraordinary?
