The Resurrection. Joy is not a mood we chase but the life of Christ beating within us… When hope seems thin, do the work of faith: return to the word, to the bread, to confession, and let grace stitch your courage back together… The night does not last; it never has since that first dawn when fear gave way and the guards’ story fell apart… A stone once rolled, and with it our excuses; live as if that weight is already off your heart… The Ascension. Love learns to live between absence and nearness: the eyes lose Him in the cloud, the heart finds Him in the Host… This is not a trick of piety but a new closeness: He departs so that faith may walk, and He remains so that faith may eat… From this double grace grows a simple rule for the day—look up without staring, return to the altar without delay, and let duty become the road where His blessing still moves… The Descent of the Holy Spirit Life in the Spirit is born of prayer and the cross. In prayer, the soul learns to breathe with God, to be molded quietly by His grace. In the cross, that grace is tested and purified, until the heart is set aflame with the Spirit’s own fire, filled with His light and His comfort. The Assumption We are not told to escape the world but to carry it upward by love, as she did… Her ascent gathers our work and pain and dresses them for God, teaching us to live on earth with Heaven in view… Let this hope govern choices: prefer fidelity to brilliance, service to display, peace to victory… Then the road you walk today will already belong to that country where she waits, and your steps will sound like someone going home… The Coronation of Mary Mary, after accompanying Jesus from Bethlehem to the cross, is next to her Son in body and soul, glorious forever… Our Lady, a full participant in the work of our salvation, follows in the footsteps of her Son… her glorification is the firm hope of our own salvation… For these reasons we call her ‘our hope, cause of our joy.
