We will have homemade chicken soup, as well as an authentic peka meal. Peka is made using an iron dome that's covered in embers and left to cook. You'll see how everything is prepared, and catch a glimpse of how we spend a typical Sunday. The peka meal is really something special and traditional here, and we have it about 90% of the time. You can put any meat or vegetables underneath the peka, but most of the time we put a mix of chicken and pork. You can make bread, dessert, or even just a veggie dish, and everything is always cooked so perfectly! Croatian meals are always served very family-style, where you put a big platter or dish in the middle, and everyone just scoops and helps themselves as they wish. For dessert, we typically have some cake that Baka made, or we have Napolitanke with our coffee. Napolitanke are the best little wafers - they're my favorite Croatian cookies, made with chocolate filling, and they're just so light and fluffy! We hope you enjoy being a part of our family lunch! www.royalcroatiantours.com
