Neither the White House nor the Detroit Economic Club has said what the specific topic will be. But it being Detroit and this being just ahead of the auto show starting, it's a safe bet Trump's not coming to talk (at length anyway) about Greenland. The president has been accentuating his economic agenda and he's almost certain to emphasize his argument that moves to end government policies promoting the production and sale of electric vehicles, cut taxes on interest paid on new cars and trucks made in the U.S. and his tariffs on imported autos and auto parts have been, or will be, good for domestic automaking.
