We are Vera & Christian and we love our Land Rovers. We are hobby YouTubers and we live in Germany in a tiny village with a population of 600 and we are car and 4x4 enthusiasts. We do as much work as we possibly can on our cars by ourself. Our goal is, not to have any Land Rover mechanic ever touch one of our cars and so far we are successful. We build up a well-equipped workshop and we have some skills to use it. Our son Robin (20) is a black smith and our son Philipp (18) is the German national BMX Freestyle champion 2025 Our videos are purly for entertainment and are not intended as a how-to guide. Video Description

This week on LR Time: We dig into the depths of our budget 2007 Land Rover Discovery 3 project — yes, that one. Remember the mystery engine block we found dumped in the trunk when we bought the car? Well, surprise! It had a crankshaft snapped clean in half, some serious rust, spun bearings, and even some mouse poop. But hey — why not rebuild it? Vera and I take on the lower end of this engine with full confidence and a lot of improvisation. From backyard line boring to a bit of DIY bearing gallery honing, we show just how far you can go in your home garage when you don’t want to give up on a dead Land Rover engine. This is not a job for the faint-hearted. If you skip the right steps in a build like this, you're just signing up for failure. We don’t want that. So in this episode, it’s all about precision, persistence, and progress — even if it smells like rust and regret. We’re now a few steps closer to creating a true Frankenstein Engine. Will it ever run again? Nobody knows. But one thing’s for sure: it’s going to be one hell of a ride. 👉 If you want to leave a donation to support our channel: https://paypal.me/LRTime 👉 Become a Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/LRTime 👉 Check out our merch shop: https://www.shirtee.com/de/store/lrtime/ Disclaimer: We are not liable for any harm you may do to your car, engine, surroundings, or yourself.
