This Dell Vostro is just 1 example of the type of laptops that used to come into the repair shop I worked in where I would geek out over how cool it was. I've always liked these bulky laptops due to their build quality and how tearing them down was a challenge. Unfortunately with Microsoft ending support for Windows 10, all the laptops from this era are going to end up in the landfill unless people like us slap Linux on it and re-home them. 14 years old and this thing still can play YouTube videos without a problem, do word documents just fine, and browse the internet without issue. Yes it gets hot, and it's very inefficient, but it's still usable!
