Video Description

In August 1966, a quiet London street became the scene of one of the most shocking crimes in British policing history. What began as a routine stop of a suspicious vehicle in Shepherd’s Bush ended in tragedy — three unarmed officers gunned down in cold blood. Detective Sergeant Christopher Head, Detective Constable David Wombwell, and Police Constable Geoffrey Fox were murdered by career criminals Harry Roberts and John Duddy. Within hours, one of the largest manhunts Britain had ever seen was launched. John Duddy and accomplice, John Witney were soon arrested, but months passed as police hunted for Harry Roberts - a killer trained in survival and armed with military precision. This week on Underworld Uncut, former Detective Constable Jim Smith and retired Chief Superintendent Jean Cooper revisit the Shepherd’s Bush Murders — the brutal crime that changed British policing forever. 👉 Follow us on Instagram: @TheUncutNetwork 👉 Follow us on X: @TheUncutNetwork 👉 Follow us on TikTok: @TheUncutNetwork 🔗 Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more deep dives into the world of crime and history! #truecrime #true #crime #uncut #gang #gangster #london #uk #charlie #richardson #kray #ronnie #reggie #eddie #mob #boss #murder #criminal #firm #documentary #interview #firm #trial #court #conversation #eastend #freddieforeman #gangsterchannel #Underworld #ukcrime #crimegenre #ShepherdsBush #Murders #Police #Cops #ParkhurstPrison
