It shows dozens of wounded men, many on crutches and canes, some without arms , and others practically blind. They are all standing in a cramped space, awaiting dispatch to the front. Social media users are reacting ironically, recalling Russian propaganda's claim of a "second army in the world." Their own words are heard in the video: "They're sending people from category D. Without legs, without arms, on crutches. Blind and disabled. This is where the destruction is... Simply us... They've committed genocide... They're sending us away. That's it!" Analysts emphasize that Moscow is deliberately sending people physically incapable of holding weapons or moving to the front lines, rendering them expendable. According to Russian sources, command has already reported to Putin about the "capture" of Kupyansk, Vovchansk, and Pokrovsk, but in reality, Russia controls none of these cities. To ensure that the reports somehow match Gerasimov's fantasies, everyone they can is being sent to these locations, including the partially recovered, the disabled, and the seriously wounded. These people are simply being used to cover up the Russian army's failures. This isn't about war, but about eliminating its own citizens, so as to avoid paying compensation to the disabled for years and simultaneously force Ukraine to waste ammunition on completely helpless targets. In the video, the men say outright: "All the people in the video are suicide bombers." And that's no exaggeration. A man on crutches becomes the perfect prey for the first Ukrainian drone, unable to escape, take cover, or perform even basic tasks. It is no secret that Russia ‘recycles’ wounded soldiers, sending them back to the front line as soon as they are mobile. Commanders have made sure that getting wounded is not a ticket out of danger. But now we are seeing more extreme cases, with soldiers still on crutches or even in wheelchairs being pushed forward in assaults. It would be easy to dismiss this sort of claim as Ukrainian propaganda. Except that apart from the many cases captured on drone video, there are also many appeals on Russian social medias as the soldiers themselves plead for intervention by senior commanders, with troops on crutches complaining that they are expected to go into combat while completely unfit for action. Soldiers on crutches are easy targets for FPV drones. From a Western perspective, sending soldiers on crutches into an assault where they will face almost certain death may not make sense. But for a state which places no value on human lives, things look different. A seriously wounded soldier who is due compensation is a liability. If they are going to die anyway, then it is better they die before they can claim injury compensation. Russian bloggers and others may complain about the treatment their troops are getting, but they have little influence. So far, the scale of losses is being kept hidden, and the Russian people still believe in their modern Tsar. How long this can continue in an age of drone videos and social media is another matter. For Russians, more than for Westerners, war is a matter of sacrifice.
