105 Years Underground! Rusty Antique Push Reel Mower Restoration Restoration Overview This push reel mower could be around 100 years old because it had a lot of rust and mud on it. It was kept near the grandfather of a friend of mine. I wanted to restore this machine, so I took it for restoration. Nowadays, people don’t use this push reel push reel mower much, but after restoration, I will show how it works, and it will perform better than many modern machines. Restoration Process First of all, I thoroughly cleaned all the rust and soil from the mower. Then, I started Disassembling all its parts. Some parts were completely stuck due to rust. I carefully loosened those parts using gentle hits and WD-40 spray, making sure not to damage anything. After disassembling the mower, I removed rust from every part. For some parts, I applied cold bluing to prevent future rusting. I also spray-painted it to enhance its appearance. After finishing the restoration, I reassembled all the parts carefully and fixed everything properly. When I tested it, the mower worked much better than before restoration.
