Zen 6 Is Wild - Ryzen 10800X3D Specs & Release Date I'm currently running the Ryzen 9 9800X3D myself and it's a fantastic CPU, but based on multiple leaks—particularly from Moore's Law is Dead and Chippell—it looks like AMD’s upcoming Zen 6 chips, the 10800X3D and 10950X3D, could absolutely blow it out of the water. The 10800X3D might come with 12 cores, 24 threads, up to 6GHz boost clocks, 10% IPC uplift, and a whopping 144MB of L3 cache—possibly even 240MB if AMD goes with dual-stacked 3D V-Cache. That would mean over 30% better gaming performance and around 80% improved multi-core performance versus the current generation, while also supporting faster DDR5 memory—potentially up to 8000MT/s. The architecture changes should also reduce latency, improving fabric and overall system responsiveness. These chips will likely arrive in Q1 2026 and, while prices may increase ($550 for the 10800X3D), I expect AMD to offer 10-core and 8-core variants at lower prices.
