從2002年參與策劃了798第一個畫廊的第一個展覽《北京浮世繪》，到《藝術界LEAP》雜誌主編，再到北京著名公益藝術機構UCCA（尤倫斯當代藝術中心）最年輕的館長，田霏宇(Philip Tinari) 親歷了中國當代藝術的發展變化。作為中國當代藝術圈最活躍的外國人之一，田霏宇嘗試著給理解中國當代藝術增加一個國際的維度，既把中國藝術家推出去，也把國際藝術家的展覽引進來，已經為來自全世界逾四百萬名觀眾呈現出百餘次藝術展覽和超過三千個公共項目。 「很多人面臨當代藝術第一個反應是，我看不懂。但是這個看不懂，通過一個藝術機構，或者是種種在藝術領域裡面的介入，可以變成一種新的體會。」
