We traveled to ATI Industrial Automation to spend a week playing with their tooling and these robots to find out. The advancements in this technology are coming way faster than you think. CNC didn’t become available to the home shop until 2012 and I think the tech available for the robots means an even steeper growth curve for the collaborative robot industry. They can literally do anything and I am so excited to have one (or three) of these in my shop. I also firmly believe they aren’t taking jobs but making them faster, safer and more enjoyable.
