Little remains of the once mighty TJ Potter, which set speed records on Puget Sound, helped battle the Great Seattle Fire, and reliably served the Columbia River for around two decades. All we can find now are the wooden ribs and a few scattered fragments. What can we find out about this sad, discarded ship, buried in the mud and shrouded under the waters of Young’s Bay? Why don’t we shed some light onto the career of the champion riverboat of the Northwest, before she is forgotten entirely. We're traveling to Astoria, Oregon to find this wreckage, and exploring its earlier history when parts of it were salvaged from the steamboat Wide West. Thank you to the @columbiarivermaritimemuseu4171 once again for helping with the research on this project!
