Support the Milwaukee Clipper here: https://www.milwaukeeclipper.com/donate/ Our team spent almost a week aboard the SS Milwaukee Clipper in Muskegon, Michigan, and that gave us the opportunity to conduct a lifeboat drill in the middle of the night. These lifeboat davits are similar to Titanic's, giving us an excellent, first hand understanding of how Titanic's lifeboat davits worked. These are single action lifeboat davits and these were installed in 1940 aboard this ship. Titanic, launched in 1911, also had Welin davits, though those were double action. Still, this is the same technology and the same process. We learned a lot in this exercise.
