how to cook beef with potatoes[ASMR] Ingredients: • 750g boneless beef short ribs (or other cuts) • 350g potatoes • 150g carrots • 30g ginger • A few green onions (optional) • 3 dried chilies • 3 bay leaves • 1 cinnamon stick • 1 star anise Blanch the beef: • Put beef in cold water • Add 15g ginger and 1 tbsp rice wine • Bring to a boil and remove the foam Make the sauce: • 1 tbsp rice wine, 2 tbsp light soy sauce • 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce, 1 tsp oyster sauce • Mix well Beef and Potatoes Stew: • Heat oil over medium-low heat • Add 1 tbsp rock sugar and stir until golden brown • Turn to medium heat, add beef, and stir-fry until browned • Add ginger, dried chilies, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, and star anise — stir until fragrant • Pour in the sauce and mix well • Add 800ml hot water (enough to cover the beef), simmer over medium-low heat for 60 minutes • Add potatoes, simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes • Add carrots, 1/4 tsp sugar, and 1/8 tsp salt • Simmer for another 10 minutes • Sprinkle green onions on top (optional) 💡 Note: 1 tsp = 5ml, 1 tbsp = 15ml
