Easy ESL Game: 10 Word Sentence An easy ESL game for intermediate and above learners that helps with sentence writing, punctuation, spelling, and grammar. Materials A whiteboard or notebook for each group and pens Instructions Prepare some prompts for students to use For example: A vocabulary word they have to use A grammar structure they have to use A verb tense they have to use etc. Divide students into pairs or small groups. Tell the students the number of words they must write and the prompt. Remind them that they must have the exact number of words and correct punctuation. This is a racing game, so say "go!" When they think their sentence is finished, they can raise their hands. Check their sentence and if it's correct, they get one point. If it isn't, you can tell them no or how many mistakes they have.
