I'm Ronnie, and I'm going to teach you a new phrase. It's called a "glow-up". A "glow-up" means you become more - and this is the word I want you to focus on - attractive, positive, successful. You boost your self-confidence. You cultivate, which means make, a positive self-image. So important. You progress as a human. It's a general self-improvement. But, you know, as this thing called social media goes, people take phrases and words, and they kind of put them out of context and make a new word to make something very simple seem - oh, it's luxuriously wonderful. I'm going to have a glow-up. I'm going to get some new beauty products here, you know. I'm going to drink some new fruit juices, you know, just apply this here. Don't I look beautiful now? No, you don't. It's all bullshit, but there is one thing that I can help you with, and it's not a gimmick. These things are gimmicks. How to boost your self-confidence, because this is something that's essential for you. I don't care how old you are. I don't care what stage of your life you're in. If you're a teenager, a child... Hi. If you're an older lady or an older man, I don't care how old you are; it's not important. But what's important is that I help you become a better English speaker. So, how do you do this? Short answer is me and you, private lessons, englishwithronnie.com, and I'll help you do this. But let's get back to the glow-up and I'll give you that information again. So, having a positive self-image is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. And I know there's so much that's written about it and so much bullshit out there, and people basically just want you to buy their beauty products, but this has to come from within. And having self-confidence to be a good speaker in English, to be fluent, it has to come from within, and you're going to have to have some coaches help you along the way. Okay? So, if we look at, like, from an internal point of view, it's the same. It's always the same. Drink more water. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Exercise and sleep enough. So, basically, just be a human. Somehow that isn't working for me yet, but it's important. Don't eat junk food, don't eat shit. Try and walk around and exercise, you know, just try and be a little healthier. This is where the propaganda of the beauty industry comes in. Do you know what? If you get a new hairstyle, if you buy the latest fashion of clothes, and if you buy my wonderful beauty product, you are going to have a glow-up. You're going to be more confident. You're going to be a better person. You're going to be more successful. Absolute bullshit, isn't that? So, buy your beauty products, but they're not going to help you from within. When you're learning English, it's hard. It's a struggle. It's not easy to speak in a whole new language in front of a weird people that you don't know. It's very challenging, but you can do it. You can. You can do anything you put your mind to, and I really believe that. I've tried to speak, like, Japanese, and Portuguese, and Spanish, and I can speak English really well. That's good. But I tried. I can get by. I can do stuff. Now, as far as something I can really help you with and something that's actually useful, you need to improve your English. So, let's do something different. Okay? Let's... Hey, you like watching TV series or series on whatever streaming you have? Watch a new series. The more things that you watch and the more things that you're exposed to, your vocabulary's going to increase, and you're just going to get a different outlook or a different perspective on something. So, if you like watching TV, you like watching movies, series, do it, but do it differently. Watch something different. Don't stick to the same old... I don't know why people like Friends.
