The couple are parents to three children who are biracial - seven-year-old Chub Chub, five-year-old Bubba and two-year-old Pudge Pudge. They were initially surprised when Pudge Pudge was born. Alex told Truly: “We decided to do the DNA test because she was so white. And we did use IVF to get pregnant with her, and mistakes happen. So we just wanted to rule that out.” Alex started posting on social media a few years ago for fun but after an encounter with a stranger who complimented her on being a ‘good nanny’, she posted about it. She received support but also some negativity in response and has since experienced more. The mom-of-three said she especially hates the comments that say: “Whose white baby is that?” Online, people also accuse her of using Pudge Pudge for content and that she ‘rents’ her toddler for this purpose. Alex has also been subjected to inappropriate and racially motivated questioning in public while Rob has not. Alex shares videos about these occurrences online to “expose the fact that these things still happen and they don’t have to.” Rob said: “I don’t get questioned, I don’t get checked on.” The couple hope the future holds a lot of happiness for their family.
