The viral TikTok spawned conversations about what’s known as the “West Village Girl” on TikTok, whose life consists of “facials at Glowbar, sidewalk strolls with a Gucci bag and iced tea in hand, and of course, plenty of #OOTDs (outfits of the day) featuring brands like Reformation, Chanel and Miu Miu,” the Wall Street Journal writes. In this video, I discuss how influencers how no personality outside of consumerism, promoting shallow beauty culture, diet culture and materialism, offering nothing of substance to the world.
