Finally it came down to one day, and I still had no plans. We had a full day in Izmir before catching an evening flight to Gaziantep. So I decided to rent a car for the day, we’d visit Ephesus (about 1.5 hours drive from Izmir), and return the car to the Izmir Airport for our evening flight. Worked perfectly! This restaurant was amazing, located just outside the gates of Ephesus. Total price - 1,000 TRY ($30.99) for everything Ephesus Ancient City: Ticket - €52 per person - It was amazing to visit Ephesus, and ancient city in Turkey, truly surreal. After we visited Ephesus we continued on to visit the Virgin Mary’s house.
