We’re back on the Homemade 4-seat helicopter build, and this thing is finally starting to look like a real aircraft. Since the last video we’ve: 1. Built and fitted the fiberglass doors 2. Installed the latch rods and striker plates 3. Tweaked the door fitment and “budget cardboard windows” 4. Hung the tail cone and built the horizontal stabilizers 5, Installed the tail rotor gearbox, driveshaft, and control linkages 6. Started rigging the flight controls, collectives, and mixer assembly 7. Test-fit the new Advanced Flight Systems glass panel and avionics There’s a lot of drilling, tapping, riveting, shimming, and blueprint staring in this one, but every weekend it gets a little closer. Tail boom is on, flight controls are starting to move like they should, and the cockpit is finally getting some real instruments in it.
