Pipework shambles to copper master piece!

Welcome back to the channel on today’s video a customer has called me out to fit a new limescale water filter. They’ve had a water softener in the past which is still plumbed up underneath the kitchen sink, but I didn’t get on with it. It caused many leaks, took up a lot of of cupboard space, and they always forgot to put salt in it so it wasn’t doing a lot anyway. So I’ve been called in to rip all the pipework out as a previous plumber who installed all this must’ve arrived on a horse. There’s nothing clipped. The pipework is here there everywhere and there’s no wonder that they had problems with leaks. For a water softener they’ve had to fit a bypass kit which is a reason why there’s loads of valves and with the new Aquabion filter all it needs is just copper either side of it so that in store is going to be a lot neater Obviously in typical MM plumber fashion auto pipework would be removed and we start again where we can there is some plastic pipework in the bottom so we just have to adapt as best as we can and then we’re going to put all new clips on the back of the wall And start to construct a copper masterpiece. The Aquabion units don’t need to be touched for seven years they don’t require any maintenance and instead of softening the water the conditioner so the particles don’t stick on top of each other so the limescale powder can be easily wiped away I always fit these units as a next best thing than a water softener, especially if the customer can’t have uninstalled due to pipework layout in the house or space.
