A Documentary by Maximum - On October 8th, 2009, Eugene Fedoseev Released Red Ball 2, the second installment in the Red Ball series. Compared to Red Ball 1, Red Ball 2 was a more fleshed out game, having many new gameplay mechanics, a large array of puzzles, and 8 more main levels to complete. The puzzles in Red Ball 2 were often long and convoluted, and every single star needed to be collected in each level before the flag at the end could be collected. The slow linearity of Red Ball 2 made the game become a chore for any speedrunner who tried to tackle it. However, through the discovery of pause jumping and the immense dedication of speedrunners, the game has morphed into something completely different; a highly exciting speedgame that has brewed many rivalries, competitions, and exciting moments.
