I restored this old wrench into better than new condition. First I worked on a smooth surface by sanding out cuts, dents, flaws and scratches. After sanding the surface equally down to grit 120, I continued all the way up to polishing finish. This is absolutely crucial before applying any plating process. For best rust protection I first applied a copper plating layer followed by a nickel plating procedure. The electrolyte I made myself for both, copper and nickel.
