Video Description
Tier 4 Final... Whether you love it or hate it, it's a hot topic in the industry. Aaron and the BuildWitt crew visit Quinn Cat in Southern California during this vlog episode to talk to their folks about repowering machines to meet the Tier 4 emissions requirements. There are more than a few CAT scrapers in this episode. And not just the ones being worked on in the shop at Quinn. The guys visited a job site with Sukut Construction where they got to have fun photographing their 657 scrapers hauling TONS of dirt. Aaron explains why scrapers are a great option for mass earthmoving and also why it seems that Southern California is some sort of Scraper Mecca. Believe it or not, he actually explains how the air coming out of the exhaust on one of the Tier 4 scrapers is actually, in theory, cleaner than the air going into it, in Los Angeles County.
