Video Description

Welcome to the new Chimney Hollow Reservoir, the largest new American dam project in decades. Spearheaded by Northern Water, the project aims to provide consistent water from the Rocky Mountains to hundreds of thousands of people along Colorado's front range. While most dams stop flowing water, this enormous rock structure merely crosses a valley, forming a massive bathtub that Northern Water can fill with over 90,000 acre feet of water from nearby pipelines. Barnard Construction, a company known for tough jobs, is the muscle behind the project.
