On Sunday morning, December 14, 2025, Los Angeles police officers asked homeless individuals camping along Rose Avenue near 3rd Street in Venice to pack up and leave the area ahead of a scheduled street fair and holiday market. The Venice street fair gallery and market took place along 3rd Street between Rose Avenue and Sunset Avenue. Officers made contact with individuals camping nearby and advised them of the event and the need to clear the area. Those present complied, packing up their belongings and moving away without incident. Members of the Venice Street Clean team were on hand to clean the sidewalk and surrounding area once it was vacated. Following the cleanup, the holiday street market proceeded as planned, with vendors and visitors filling the corridor for the scheduled event.
