Today we teardown the 1.7L D17A1 Non-Vtec engine from a 2003 Honda Civic LX. This engine is a core return from a local yard and had already been replaced before! In 2019, it showed over 230K Miles, so the likelihood of this engine having over a quarter million miles is very real. Lets try to figure out why it was replaced and let me know if this is something you would have fixed, or simply replaced as the owners of the Civic it was installed in did.
