Theyre known as the first E-Bikes - a bike with a support engine. In this video, I take you through the exciting restoration process of a Solex. From disassembly to the final test drive – each step brings the Solex back to its original glory, piece by piece. You can see the test drive in the second part. First, I disassembled the Solex and carefully separated all the important parts. The next step was sandblasting the frame to remove old paint residue and rust. I then powder-coated the frame to give it robust and long-lasting protection. I then applied a clear coat to the powder coating, giving it a beautiful, glossy finish. The next step was the engine: I completely disassembled it to thoroughly inspect and clean all the parts. The engine components were sandblasted with fine glass beads to remove corrosion and deposits. I then rebuilt the engine with new parts and great attention to detail, adjusted the ignition, and replaced wear parts. The engine now runs like it did on the first day! In the end i'll have the engine tested and it runs like a charm! :-) ► If you like my work, hit the like, subscribe and share with your friends! ► Any questions to the materials, techniques, or something else?
