It feels like we've been framing for an eternity, and there's always some issue we run into. This week was no different. From having second thoughts about where walls begin and end, where to run the gas line for the fireplace- and then completely redesigning where its going to go, to a big heating pipe running right though a planned doorway. We had to take many breaks to really reconsider some decisions we had made, but I think we've got 'er figured out now. Between framing sessions, we went to pick up some new additions to the homestead. Getting chickens this year is reminiscent of trying to get toilet paper in 2020, but we did manage to get some breeds that we wanted. And it wouldn't be a typical April in MN without rain/snow/sleet/mud/ice/more snow and cold temps, which means we now have some new coworkers down in the basement. Ted quickly threw together a little home for them and we've enjoyed working along side of them... but Wilho is, by far, the most appreciative. Those are her babies and she stands guard over them and checks on them throughout the day! It is honestly the cutest thing ever.
