Smash Bros. has come a long way. What started as a small, experimental crossover fighter has, nearly 25 years later, become a gaming phenomenon played and discussed around the world. But not every part of Smash has aged so gracefully--some aspects from the earliest entries have become dated, unwieldy, or no longer feel as representative of their source material as they once did. And while the series proper hasn't brought them up to date yet, it falls to the fans to try and...remake it. Our subject this time is a certain bounty hunter who has ran, jumped, and blasted her way back into the limelight. The recent success of Metroid Dread has given Samus and her series new life once more. But her moveset in Smash Bros. has stayed nearly unchanged since Melee, and she's picked up so many new abilities in the time since that her Smash depiction doesn't feel much like herself anymore. But what if the next game were to give her some much-needed updates to feel in line with her current renditions?
