In this video, I build a walnut tambour cabinet with copper leaf inlay and an integrated bluetooth speaker kit. The Shaper Origin CNC was instrumental in bringing my design idea of tambour inlay to life. I've never tried tambour before, so I wanted to try it on a smaller scale, but also push my design limits further than I've done before. The Shaper Origin CNC allowed me to make design decisions that would have been nearly impossible with traditional woodworking tools. I had a basic idea in my head for this tambour cabinet, but most design decisions were made "on the fly" which definitely slowed the build process down. The bluetooth radio was merely to add function to the form.
