PTI Kohat Rally Amid Political Uncertainty Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is set to hold a major public rally in Kohat. Kohat is Shehryar Afridi’s political constituency, from where he has previously been elected as a Member of the National Assembly, making the rally symbolically significant. Currently, Imran Khan’s meetings are completely suspended, heavy crackdowns are reported outside Adiala Jail, and discussions are ongoing about imposing a ban on PTI. Despite these alarming developments, PTI’s leadership appears uncertain, with disagreements reportedly emerging even within the party’s political committee. What Happened Outside Adiala Jail? A shocking account emerged through an interview given by Noreen Niazi, who described what she and her sister Uzma Khan experienced outside Adiala Jail. According to her, they were deliberately targeted with high-pressure water cannons. She stated that the force of the water was so intense that they were thrown backward, and when they stood up, they were attacked again. Noreen Niazi claimed that if divine protection had not intervened, the intentions behind the attack could have been far more dangerous. This incident has further intensified concerns about excessive use of force and intimidation. PTI Faces Another Institutional Setback PTI suffered another significant blow in the Pakistan Bar Council elections. Out of 11 seats from Punjab, the PTI-backed group lost 9, winning only 3. The case involved allegations of corruption worth Rs 462 billion, yet NAB failed to recover even a single rupee.
