I don't think there is a week that goes without cooking and enjoying broccoli in some shape or form. Join me in this episode and learn 3 (out of a million) ways to cook some broccoli fast! METHOD 1 INGREDIENTS: 200g broccoli florets 2 pieces garlic small piece ginger 1 tsp avocado oil 1/4 cup water flaky salt to taste fresh cracked pepper to taste METHOD 1 DIRECTIONS: 1. Remove the broccoli florets and chop into medium bite sized pieces. Trim down the woody parts of the stalk if you wish to use the core. Grate the garlic and ginger and set aside 2. Heat up a sauté pan to medium high heat. Add the avocado oil followed by the broccoli. Spread the broccoli around the pan and let it sear for 1-2mins. Then, toss them and allow to sear the other side 3. Add the garlic and ginger and stir. Add in the water and immediately cover with a lid. Let it cook for about a minute (the water should be completely dried) 4. Plate and sprinkle over some flaky salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste METHOD 2 INGREDIENTS: 200g broccoli florets 1 tsp soy sauce splash dark soy sauce splash black vinegar splash toasted sesame oil 1 tsp chili oil (https://youtu.be/IkBWsfsEVkM) 1/2 tsp white sesame seeds METHOD 2 DIRECTIONS: 1. Place the broccoli florets into a heat proof bowl. Fill a kettle with water and bring to boil. Then, pour the hot water onto the broccoli enough to cover. Place a lid on it and allow it to cook for 5-7mins 2. Make a sauce by combining the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, black vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and chili oil 3. Drain out the water and plate the broccoli. Sprinkle over some white sesame seeds. Drizzle over the sauce or keep it on the side as a dip to serve METHOD 3 INGREDIENTS 200g broccoli florets 1 tbsp olive oil 1 bulb garlic salt and pepper to taste 1/2 cup panko 1 tsp fresh lemon juice METHOD 3 DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Place the broccoli florets into a large mixing bowl. Drizzle in the olive oil and toss to coat. Spread onto a tray lined with parchment paper 2. Slice the garlic bulb in half and rub both halves in the excess oil in the mixing bowl. Season the broccoli and garlic with salt and pepper to taste. Then, wrap the garlic bulb with some parchment paper and place it onto the baking tray. Bake in the oven for about 25mins 3. Heat up a frying pan to medium heat. Add in the panko and toast for about 4-6mins until just golden brown, tossing frequently. Season with salt and pepper 4. Plate the roasted broccoli and squeeze out the roasted garlic onto the broccoli. Squeeze over some fresh lemon juice and sprinkle over the crispy panko to serve If you enjoyed this episode and would love to see more, remember to like, comment, and subscribe so that you won't miss a single episode!
